The tactics summary is where you brainstorm what you will do to fulfill your strategies. This should be actions such as “Connect with John Smith for potential partnership” or “Send out invitations for event.” These are bite sized actions. The day to day activities that people can do. Get specific.
This can include descriptions of what tools you will be using to achieve your strategies. This can be from sending out newsletters to members, to drafting launch emails for past customers, to setting up an internal employee message board to track progress. The only limit is your creativity and the resources you have available.
Each item in the tactics summary should be directly contributing to at least one of the strategies that you listed in the previous section. In the next section titled “action plan” you will be sorting the tactics that are identified in this section and giving them a timeframe.
