Who is in charge and when do they need to sign off on the work? Do they need to sign off on stages, changes, or final copies?
This step is important to include accountability within the system. There should be someone who signs off on the work or changes to the workflow, and it should be decided beforehand. Since it is decided beforehand, the one who must sign off knows when they should be consulted, and those who are working on the details know what changes and actions they can take on their own.
This is not necessary if the organization is small enough that revisions and final copies can be quickly shared between all those who are involved, although I still recommend that this section is completed by all organizations with more than 1 person working on communications.
I suggest reviewing this category after completing the action plan to make sure that the approvals that you set reflect the needs of the action plan.
